Creating an account and registering it
Create an account to receive current information
Creating an account is essential to receive current organisational information in the run-up to the Congress in August. If you have not already, you may create an account on the pre-registration page. Exceptionally, you may send by fax or mail a completed copy of the pre-registration form. However, it must include a valid email address for future correspondence.
Register the account to attend the Congress
To attend the meeting in August, all delegates are required to pay the appropriate registration fee to flag their account as registered. Advance payment of registration fee is strongly recommended for all participants and is offered at a discounted early-bird rate. Authors with an accepted lecture or seminar must register before 25 July 2008 to guarantee the inclusion of their paper in the program and in the proceedings.
The preferred method of payment for the Congress is electronic payment by credit card or bank deposit. For your convenience you may pay for the Congress proceedings, banquet and social events at the same time. Simply login, browse the site to add the items you wish to make a payment for, and finally proceed to the 'Manage payments' link in your account menu.

The early-bird registration rate is available until 27 June. Registration includes: a program packet containing the Book of Abstracts and CD-ROM of Short Papers, the technical sessions, the morning and afternoon coffee breaks, the Get-Together Party on the Sunday evening, and the Welcome Reception on the Monday evening.
The pre-congress registration rate applies after 27 June and before 24 August. Registration includes: a program packet containing the Book of Abstracts and CD-ROM of Short Papers, the technical sessions, the morning and afternoon coffee breaks, the Get-Together Party on the Sunday evening, and the Welcome Reception on the Monday evening.
Registration will be available on-site from 3pm on Sunday 24 August, and throughout the Congress. On-site registrants will be subject to a higher registration fee. Payment at the Congress must be made in cash (AUD) or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, JCB).
Student registration is available only to persons enrolled in a full-time or part-time PhD program. A student registration includes the same items as a regular registration. Proof of student status may be requested at the venue prior to distribution of the conference pack.
An accompanying person registration includes the morning and afternoon coffee breaks, the Get-Together party on the Sunday evening, and the welcome reception on the Monday evening. The technical sessions are not covered by this type of registration. Accompanying guests may wish to consider the range of social excursions on offer.
We invite you to attend the Congress Banquet. The Banquet will be held at the Adelaide Hilton, and will be an unforgettable evening with a delicious menu featuring the best of South Australian produce and fine wines from an award winning winery.
A hardcover book of Proceedings will be published by Springer, following the Congress. It will contain texts of the Opening and Closing Lectures, the Sectional Lectures, the Introductory Lectures for the Mini-Symposia, a list of the titles and authors of all contributed papers presented at the Congress (but not the abstracts), a list of all participants, and a general report on the Congress. Registered participants may order copies of the Proceedings at, or before, the Congress for a substantially reduced price.
On-site registration and cancellation policy
Registration will be available on-site from 3pm on Sunday 24 August, and throughout the Congress. On-site registrants will be subject to the higher registration fee of $800 AUD. Payment at the Congress must be made in cash (AUD) or by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, JCB).
Registration fees will be refunded with a deduction of $150 AUD if the organisers receive written notification of cancellation before 25 July 2008. After this date, no refund will be made.
